Black velvet dress has an attached white scarf that drapes the collar and extends all the way down the back. Very elegant dress is fully lined with a back zipper.

White scarf is attached along the neckline, shoulders and V back, and the top 3 inches along the zipper. The remaining scarf along the back is free-flowing. There is a pleat at the bottom back of the dress to help with movement.

I could only find one tag on this dress, but it does not specify size or material. Mid-century dress is knee-length, and approximate woman’s side 5.

Measurements:

Shoulder seam to seam - 12"
Underarm to underarm on front - 15"
Waist - 26"
Overall length from top of shoulder to bottom hem - 41"

All measurements are approximate, and taken while lying flat.

Dress is over 50 years old, and there are a few flaws as such. There is some foxing and yellowing on the white scarf as shown in pictures. Dress has been dry-cleaned and noted that spots will not come out. Spots are small and only noticeable upon close inspection. There is also a small, approximately ½” tear in the fabric on the bottom back, which also can be noted upon close inspection. The zipper slides well except for the top inch, which I could not get to close completely. There is a snap above the zipper that hides this when wearing. Dress has at least a 3” hem, and looks like it may have been shortened/hand sewn. Other that these minor flaws, this dress has held up well over time.

Please let me know if you need any additional measurements or pictures.

This is a gorgeous dress that would be perfect for the holidays or other special occasions.
