Object: This auction is for a beautiful, vintage 1982 Katja for Fenton handblown glass vase by Swedish designer, Katja. It's etched on the bottom "KF." 
 
Artist/Studio:  The KATJA collection from Fenton Art Glass Company appears in their 1983 advertisement as their sensational new line with a new perspective by top Swedish designer, Katja, who adds her flair to the art of hand-blown glass. Each creation is original, handmade and stretched to create a beautiful and unusual fade effect. Each is marked "KF" for Katja Fenton. The Katja line was only produced from 1981-82. Surface:  Smooth with slightly tactile rippling from the handmade process

Technique:  Handmade blown glass

Features:  Bulbous body; small neck with wide, flared rim; slightly recessed, polished base; cobalt blue center band with faded edges from hand stretching; etched mark "KF" on the bottom

Condition:  Very good pre-owned condition, with no chips, cracks, surface wear or rough spots to note. Only very minimal signs of use on the inside and shelf wear on the bottom. Item comes as found and as is and lightly wiped off for photos. Any more thorough cleaning or polishing will be left to the winner. Odd white spots or yellow tones are reflections from the camera. Any irregularities in bubbles or surface are from the handmade process and not damage of any kind. Most of our items are estate finds and are in good to excellent used condition. Vintage, pre-owned items will not usually be in mint condition, but may show signs of age, use, or wear from being pre-owned and loved for many years. We try to describe any and all condition issues but may miss some. A defect not noted does not constitute an item "not as described."

Measurements:  Measures 5 1/2" high, 5" in diameter at the widest, has a 3" diameter flared top, a 1 1/4" diameter opening, and a 3 1/2" diameter base.
