Impressive official 1993 William J. Clinton Inaugural medal by Jesse Corsaut, executed in .999 silver by Hoffman & Hoffman.

This medal from Clinton's first inauguration was issued under the authority of the 52nd Presidential Inaugural Committee and was designed by noted American artist Jesse Corsaut, whose sculptures were exhibited at the White House under Reagan and whose medals--including this one--are part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian.

The obverse features a three-quarter bust of Clinton with William Jefferson Clinton in exergue. The reverse a beautifully rendered, ultra high relief America the Beautiful-inspired landscape with the presidential seal at 2:00 and Corsaut's signature at 4:00. "42nd President of the United States of America" appears in the upper, "Inaugurated January 20, 1993" below. A limited release that rarely comes up for sale, this piece bears the serial number "1152" on the edge (which matches the hand-written sticker on the outer box). The edgemark continues with "© 1993 P.I.C. [Presidential Inaugural Committee] Hoffman & Hoffman * Carmel, CA * .999 Fine Silver" with the Hoffman & Hoffman "HH" hallmark.

This impressive large sized medal is approximately 65mm in diameter with a weight of approximately 174.3 grams or over 5.6 troy ounces. It was executed in .999 pure silver by Hoffman & Hoffman of Carmel, CA. Hoffman & Hoffman pieces are important to and sought after by the vintage silver bar collecting community.

This medal rests in its original dark orange/cranberry and white stain "clamshell" style case, in its original cranberry outer box, with its Certificate of Authenticity. The box appears to have been opened little if ever and is as-new. Outer box is immaculate save for the small hand-written sticker with serial number, which is likely as-made from Hoffman & Hoffman. No staining, damage, or odors.
