Pair ORIGINAL EMPIRE Louis Philippe Table Lamps Early 19th century . These WONDERFULLY CLASSICAL URN SHAPED LAMPS reference back to the ancient Greco-Roman Period. Both have two carved "handles" with the faces of a goddess. These lamps are Simple, Elegant,  and Restrained. (Both are perhaps fine examples of the concept of "Less is More") So much of this design period is found with an overindulgence of gilt, painted festoons, flowers, leaves, etc. These are rare in their simplicity of form as well as their colors of only white and gold. These can be used in any setting irregardless of design style and decor. Much appreciated by four generations of my family.
