SRM TECH SORBOTHANE DAMPING KIT FOR ALL REGA MADE TONEARMS WITH PLASTIC REAR STUB This is a set of SRM TECH sorbothane plugs designed to effectively damp the threaded plastic rear stubs fitted to many Rega made tonearms. This mod will fit all of these arms: RB250, RB251, RB220, RB100, RB101, OEM 1, MOTH ARM 1, AUDIO NOTE ARM 1, ORIGIN LIVE OL1, GOLDRING GR1, GOLDRING GR 2. This is an upgrade we have have been installing on a lot of our factory built turntables featuring these arms and we are now making it available as a user fit mod. As with all our mechanical tonearm mods (Counterweight Resonance Controller, Tonearm Damping Rings, Phono Cartridge Resonance Controller) this makes a worthwhile improvement and we firmly believe that these mods, when used together, make more audible improvement than rewiring - and at a fraction of the cost! Fitting Instructions - Put stylus guard in place and secure tonearm in clip. Remove counterweight and gently unscrew the rear stub. Firmly push the sorbothane plugs into the stub using a small screwdriver or similar to push them down the tube until there is no material protruding from the end. Screw the stub back on the arm and reset tracking weight. That's it! Now listen to the improvement. Note that the weight of the stub is now just over 2g heavier so the counterweight position will be slightly further forward for the same tracking weight.
