M48A3 IN VIETNAM IN ACTION David Doyle

Just as the Sherman tank was the quintessential 'American tank' in WWII, the M48A3 Patton tank was the most prominent US battle tank during the Vietnam War years of the 1960s and 1970s. The US Marines, who arrived in Vietnam with M48A3s in March 1965, were the first American forces to bring tanks to Vietnam. Close on their heels came the US Army, with its Patton s in October 1965. The Marines then introduced a flame throwing version of the M48A3, namely the M67A2. Beginning in July 1971 the US began supplying M48A3 tanks to the South Vietnamese army in line with President Richard Nixon's commitment to the Vietnamization of the war. Although the 52-ton Patton had been received with some skepticism when it was introduced it possessed features that proved well adapted to combat conditions in Southeast Asia. The thick armor of the M48A3 protected crewmen from Viet-Cong mines, and the vehicle's sheer mass enabled it to force its way through thick jungle vegetation. Illustrated with 109 photos, plus color profiles and detailed line drawings; Soft cover 48 pages. By David Doyle

Hi First of all, many thanks for the looking.

Discount on postage! Sorry there isn't any - read on.

1) Postal charges go on weight, 'Not how many books are in one box etc' (and books are heavy) And it doesn't matter where in the world you are, France, USA, Australia etc. The prices are the same

2) If you didn't know All postal chargers around the World went up by around 30% in August 2020, due to Covid etc.

And have gone up again 1st Jan 2021, and there isn't anything we can do about it, its all down to them.(And are set to go up again in April 2021?)

3) Due to Brexit, on 1st Jan 2021, Vat is going to be added to overseas postal services and export tax (even though books are Vat free here in the UK, this is going to change?)

4) After the 1st Jan, you will also have to pay a tax on receiving anything from the UK (Although We are hoping, by adding a customs for 'lowering the value of books sent', by saying they are worth £20? so you may get away with this?)

If I am honest, Covid and Brexit, are really 'Messing' things up over here (and the rest of the world to)

Hand on Heart, I am now thinking of removing all overseas services from my sales. This will hurt our book sales, but the hassel's it is looking like its going to be, it is just not worth selling overseas anymore? Although we shall wait and see?

So sorry, but right now, we can offer any discount, as due to the above, so please DO NOT ask, as our prices are fixed and have been calulated on Royal Mail International 'Signed For' posting

And before you ask, we will not send them anyother way (Not surface, or any other Postal Company etc)

And also, after ebay/paypal fees etc, it just isn't worth it on our part, we just end up losing out.

So our prices are firm and fixed, and as advertised. So please do not complain to us about our p&p, we don't set these prices, All Postal services do.

Again thanks for looking
