Up for sale is this used Kramer JK 1000 Guitar Body in a cool factory Ferrari Red finish which shows signs of usage in the finish from over the years of being played. This was a complete guitar that I decided to part out and will be doing the same for a few more vintage Kramer guitars if they don’t sell as a complete guitar.

The JK 1000 is the Japanese version of the Kramer Baretta which is just like the Kramer Focus 1000 guitar but was only available for the Japanese market. The JK stands for Japanese Kramer.

The guitar body has a few dings, nicks, chips in the finish that I can see. Most of these are located on the sides of the body. (See Pics) The worst Chip in the finish is around the upper bout strap button area (See Pics) There are a few dimples on the back of the guitar but it is only cosmetic and doesn’t affect the playability of the body at all. There are some scratches which are on the face and back of the body as well. This is a 35 + year old guitar body and so it does have a many marks or should I say Battle Scares in the finish which I’ve tried to describe as well as capture in the pics provided. Over all the finish on this guitar and condition of the body are in good condition considering it’s age. I’ve tried to capture the worst of it in the pics but this finish is very difficult to photograph. I do have more pics of this guitar body if you need to see anything specific as eBay only allows for 24 pics to be added to the listing. The wood is in great shape and the body is still solid.

There are a few dimples on the body from over the years of use. This is a non recessed Floyd or referred to as a Flush body mount Floyd body which is ideal for using the drop d-tuna. Also means the bridge can only do dive bombs and not upward bending of the Tremolo.

The neck pocket on this guitar body is 2 3/16” just like the Fender guitars have.

The wood around the Trem post area is solid as a rock. The original trem claw and claw screws, Trem post inserts and posts, Volume pot with Black Volume knob, Original Black Strap buttons, as well as the original Black input jack are included.

This Guitar Body uses the early version of the adjustable insert style Floyd Rose trem post which are original to the Guitar. These are common on the late 80’s Japanese market JK guitars.

This guitar body uses the smaller cast neck plates which would date this body from around 1987 to 1988.

The finish is not flawless so please look at all the pics as they are part of the description as well. However the body is solid and would make a great guitar body for someone wanting to build a Kramer Baretta or EVH 5150, or even the Sammy Hagar Can’t Drive 55 guitar clone.

This body weighs as it is : 4 pounds and 10.50 ounces. (See Pic)
