Photograph Notes: During pipe laying work, temporary fencing encloses a trench in the Rowan Way roadway. Temporary traffic lights control the flow of traffic along Rowan Way, and also traffic emerging from Larch Grove on the left. As from yesterday, Monday September 19,2011 the bus stop is again in use for Newport Bus services. For the previous 18 months, the bus route was in the other direction here. In bad weather, passengers could either wait on the opposite side in the rain or snow (no shelter there), or dash across the road from the shelter on seeing a bus. The current route reinstates the one that was used 18 months ago...
