Liberon Black Polish 250ml

Liberon Black Polish is often used in the ebonising process, as it can completely obscure the grain. Liberon Black Polish is a high quality, Black French Polish. It is suitable for use on new wood and in the restoration of ebonized antique furniture. To get the best from the ebonizing process it is best to stain the wood first with Liberon Palette wood dye in ebony. For a very dark colour, Fiddes Light Fast Water Concentrate in black can be used as a stand alone product to provide a base for the Black Polish. Use a foam applicator pad to get the best finish on the dye. Multiple coats of black polish will be needed (3 minimum) to achieve a suitable finish. This can be further enhanced and protected with a final layer of Neutral Black Bison Paste Wax. It can be applied with a French Polishing mop or with a rubber (cotton wadding wrapped in cotton cloth) in accordance with traditional French Polishing techniques, and helps to stop the grain of the wood showing through.
