Used vintage edition of Shakespeare's works. Some wear. Boards of red leather over card. Ruled borders with ornate design front and rear. Four-band spine with interspersed design and titling in gilt. Boards are rubbed with edges and joints scuffed - the colour of the leather faded. A little loss at the corners with card exposed. Some loss to spine ends. Splits to joints at the top of the spine. Small stain on the front board. Backward leaning.
All edges gilt. Hinge is cracked at the front end papers. A little slack. Some age-related staining to end papers around the hinges and page edges. Previous owner details in ink at the front end paper along with a small scribbled mark (an erasure of the price perhaps). Small creases to bottom corners of front matter. Two columns of text. Toned. Overall pages look good and clean, though I noted small brief pencilled notes on one page. Binding still good.
