For sale is this incredibly rare vellum-bound folio book printed in 1576. This beautiful medieval book was printed around 450 years ago, just after the reformation and renaissance period in Europe. The binding has a beautiful black ink medieval script with the topic of the book or title presented for easy finding. This book appears to be the “Fourth book” (i am not sure if this means the fourth edition or the fourth volume in a multi volume set. It is written on the theme of “The Councils and Best Answers from Roland A Valle”. In researching its title in both English and Latin, searching the author and date, and by using Google images, I still was unable to find a single other edition on the market worldwide. This is an incredibly rare piece! The binding and covers are made of vellum. Portions of the binding employ the use of a 1400’s Incunabula leaf. The pages to the book themselves are in good overall condition given the age. Still expect some blemishes throughout such as possible folds, some staining and marks, possible writing in places, possible foxing, and other possible blemishes. The covers and binding have some set wrinkles, staining, and holes or tears in places. We reccomend studying the photos carefully for exact condition. eBay only allows me 24 photos, so please message me if you would like more photos, or a photo of anything specific. This is an incredible book. It would look beautiful on display or as decor, or would make a great fit into any collection! Don’t pass it up!
