Unusual Moroccan traditional Mezmar instrument Sounds a bit like a snake charmer approx 35cm To play you have to fit your mouth over the reed and blow. Use the holes to play the notes. Its made of wood, metal and horn This is a really fascinating, interesting musical instrument. It sounds pretty funky. and is a traditional Berber musical instrument and is sometimes used in belly dance performances also. Please note, this is not a professional instrument, although it is playable, please don't expect it to be of professional quality, these items are hand carved by artisans for playing in the streets of Morocco, and are not of the standard required by professional musicians. please note that due to the handmade nature of the product there may be small imperfections as in nature. These (if there are any) merely add to the character and authenticity of the item. remember that you are not buying a mass produced factory item! It is a traditional, unusual ethnic item used by the indigenous people of Morocco. These come with 4, 5 or 6 holes, it varies depending on the craftsman.
