Antique Independence Hall Cast Iron Coin Bank Created 1875 Enterprise, Mfg. Co.


All original condition on this cast iron large antique still banks which depict Independence Hall. Notice on either end of the bank there is raised letters. On one end it reads, ‘Liberty Proclaimed July 4, 1776, and on the opposite end it reads, ‘Birthplace of American Independence’. This is a large version (bank on the right side in photo) of this bank and it measures 9 1/2″ by 8″ and stands 10 1/4″ high. On the underside of this bank in raised letters it reads, ‘Enterprise, Mfg. Co. Philada. (Philadelphia) Patent September 14, 1875.’ Again, all original condition on this fine example of the larger Independence Hall bank which you can find this bank featured in the antique bank reference book, ‘Penny Bank Book’ by Andy & Susan Moore on page 120 item number 1242.
