National Semiconductor introduced the NS103 Data Checker in May 1978. The NS103 is an electronic record keeper that has three continuous memories to track bank and charge account balances with dedicated keys. The National Semiconductor NS103 Data Checker had been credited for delivering the first "useful" account manager calculator.

The NS103 Data Checker makes use of a three-way power switch selecting either floating decimal with manual insertion of the decimal using the [.] key or add mode with the decimal automatically put in the dollars and cents position.

This NS103 comes complete in a ready-made cover and with its original operating instruction booklet. Data Checker was working with a new battery, but it seems to have a loose connection in the battery compartment. It may be that it is simply the wrong type of battery, but selling this for parts or repair because of this issue.

This is a great example of early account manager calculator technology.
