A very special hybrid Lunaria, 'Chedglow' has deep dark purple leaves and the brightest magenta flowers. The dried seed pods have a reddish-pink edge to them and are excellent in dried arrangements. In fall, once the seed casings dry, simply give them a light rub between 2 fingers to reveal the silver inner beauty!  Limited numbers on this variety. The plant is host to the orange-tip butterfly and the fragrant magenta-purple flowers are a good source of food for pollinators. Very easy to grow and collect your own seeds in the autumn; self seeds freely and easily. They prefer moist but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade and seem to prefer soil on the slightly alkaline side.
