I’m offering extraordinary items out of my collection – and I’m glad to see that you’re interested in this wonderful item.

In more than 35 years (including 15 years as a radio reporter and DJ), I collected over 800 signed vinyl records alone (plus literally thousands of other autographs on photos etc.), that were hand-signed by the artists when I met them for interviews or promotion all over Europe. My collection is unique - and this is one of my jewels.

The original signatures of the various members of USA FOR AFRICA on their legendary 12" record "We Are The World" come from Germany, where I met the different artists individually between 1985 and today. I believe that this record is one of a kind. I have not seen another cover that was signed by that many members of the "band". Over the years, I personally asked the following artists to sign this record for me:

Harry Belafonte, Lindsey Buckingham, Sheila E., Bob Geldof, Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates, Al Jarreau, Billy Joel, Cyndi Lauper, Huey Lewis & The News, Willie Nelson, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, Dionne Warwick and Stevie Wonder.

Record and cover show clear signs of handling, storage and age. The record comes from a pet-free/smoke-free environment, however.

Just like these signatures, I obtained all autographs face-to-face (“in person“). I started collecting signed items back in 1985 and only decided to give some of them away several years ago. Since then, I have earned the trust of many satisfied customers from around the world, resulting in an excellent reputation and feedback rating. I guarantee the authenticity of each and every signature I offer. If you wish me to do so, I will be glad to issue a personal letter of authenticity, telling you in detail when, where and under what circumstances I received the different signatures in question. That written statement is a lifetime guarantee, that the item you bought is genuine. 

It goes without saying that I will be very accurate and careful preparing and packing the item for you. Regarding the value of the LP, I will only send it insured and registered with a tracking ID. That's obviously more expensive, but worth the investment. The insurance will protect both of us. Because this is a private auction, I do not accept returns.
