Note: I purchased this item directly from Sideshow Collectibles. I am the only owner for this item. The item does not come with its original brown shipper. This item was packed up and has been stored in a climate-controlled environment (no pets and no smoking). The packaging itself may have some minor dents and scratches or dents on it. This item comes from the manufacturer in a box with no seals on it. Within that box the figure lies in a plastic tray which also has no seals on it. I have carefully slid the item out of the main packaging and kept the item in the plastic tray that it came in and lifted the lid off the plastic tray to inspect the item, test the battery-operated features and to provide photos for this listing. This item came with the batteries left in the features. I removed those in order to prevent any damage to the electronic features and avoid battery corrosion. This item comes with 2 different pieces that require batteries. R2-D2 has 3 AG13 button cell batteries and the table contains 3 AG13 button cell batteries. I have tested both and they work. Not sure how much life is in the batteries, but I did remove them from their compartments and place them in a plastic baggie inside the box. It's confusing on how to remove R2-D2's head. What you want to do is hold the blue ring below his head and twist the dome (small twist) counterclockwise. For the table, there is a small circular sticker that holds a piece into the hole. That piece comes out and you will see the light under it. Please be careful with the screw. It does not really hold the battery compartment in place. Suspect manufacturer may have stripped those putting them in. This item has never been put on display, is new and in excellent condition. Please review the photos.
