Bottom of barrel is stamped "Bo31" Bohler steel hardness test proof

                                             "9832" serial number

                                             "8,82" barrel measurement

Top of barrel slight offset right is stamped with German Military acceptance proof mark

Barrels were proofed with this mark from 1908 thru WWI.   The higher Bohler steel proof number might be indicative of a closer manufacturing time frame near 1914 to 1915.
