YAMAHA / FG9 R [S/N: IJJ015A]

Introducing Yamaha's flagship acoustic guitar, the FG9
Yamaha L-island Platinum Dealer Pre-sale

A gem that not only plays, but also makes you feel the joy of holding

It makes the sound feel deeper. With an Adirondack spruce top and rosewood sides and back, you can feel the guitar-like dynamics, but it sounds supple without any push. There's enough volume, but the bass doesn't sound too boomy, and it sticks to the song as intended.

It also has a thick core and sustain, so you can enjoy lead guitar work with single notes. Combined with the smooth playability that does not make you feel stressed, you will want to play all the way to the high position even though there is no cutaway. Like the FG9 M, it is a wasteful guitar only for singing accompaniment. If you're forming an acoustic guitar duo, the ideal would be for the lead singer to use the FG9M and the lead guitarist to use the FG9R.

You can feel the craftsmanship that seems to be made in Japan in the careful making. It is a gem that not only plays, but also makes you feel the joy of holding it.

Handmade in Japan, the flagship model FG9 is an acoustic guitar with a very rich volume, clear sound, and a range of expressive power that responds to the player's playing style, making it an ideal instrument for singer-songwriters.

Adirondack spruce, a hard and light rare material, is used for the front plate. By increasing the thickness of the back plate and improving its performance as a reflector, the acoustic radiation derived from the front plate is enhanced. At the neck-to-body joint, the neck and body are properly separated with a bolt-on structure that concentrates the vibrational energy of the strings and body on the body. It combines the "quick startup and powerful volume" required for dreadnought style guitars with the "clarity" characteristic of Yamaha's acoustic guitars.

The inner label that can be seen from the sound hole uses Japanese paper, the position mark has a design that makes you feel like a group wood work, and the sound hole and body line have rope inlays and rope bindings that remind you of traditional Japanese shimenawa.

The FG9R uses Indian rosewood to produce deeper, solid bass and extended treble. The FG9M is made of African mahogany, which enhances the traditional FG mid-low range, while producing a light and crisp tone. In addition to the wide range of expressiveness that can be selected for either model, two types of wood are used for the side and back panels to achieve two sound characters.
