According to my buyer, the European version of the handle is identical to the American version in all parts except for the long lever, which is light-colored. The last four photos in my listing show the internals of a broken American handle (with the long lever) and one of the handles I sold.
Therefore, this might be a solution for you. Personally, I have not changed these parts myself, but I believe my buyer was right.
