Description: Hardcover. 16 x 12 inches, thick brown embossed leather with relief of Roman charioteer, rawhide stitching around edges, very good, light wear and rubbing, with about 50 pages of captioned photos and postcards, almost all of which were commercially purchased, well over 200 images. Includes (loosely inserted) souvenir program for the Coronation of George VI and Elizabeth. Includes real photo postcards from the S. S. Statendam, more real photo postcards from Westminster Abbey and of the processions and coronation, smaller 3 x 2.5" photos of London landmarks -- Tower of London, Fountains Abbey, Warwick Castle, Kenilworth Castle, and similar smaller commercial snapshots of Paris, Anne Hathaway's cottage and a mixture of snapshots and postcards of other English and London scenes, then back to Paris with some more real photo postcards, several of Versailles, then some sepia gravure photo postcards of Cologne and Baden-Baden, some color and b/w postcards and snapshots of Italy, Milan with some slightly larger photos, Venice and Rome, Naples, Capri, Gibraltar and with some receipts, ticket stubs, etc. A lovely album but rather impersonal. Very good.
