Antique/ Vintage Mappin & Webb Sterling Silver 6 Beautiful Very Ornate Dessert / Fruit Forks 6 3/4”.

These forks have the M&W Hallmark with the Crown and Lion Hallmark and a letter one that looks like an e, R or l.

From the Mapping & Webb Hallmark site the Crown and Lion was the Hallmark for Sterling Silver in the UK. Because these forks have these hallmarks I think they are Sterling Silver.

I don’t know if the handles are solid..

Both the tines and handles have Hallmarks. I couldn’t find the pattern name or a date of manufacturing .

There is a monogram on the handles. I am not sure what the letters are.

I think these forks are from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s.

They show normal signs of use of pre-owned items.
