Suit Tank Combat Flame Retardant Suit
A suit made of moisture-repellent and non-burning fabric. Included: jacket, pants, leggings, hood and mask.
In the USSR, before the war, there were developments to create a fire-retardant fabric, in order to create a protective suit for tank crews. But only in 1943, by the forces of the Military Academy of Chemical Protection and the Institute of Industry of the USSR, such a fabric was created - TOZ. On the basis of this fabric, a tank fire-retardant suit was developed, which received the name TOZ-43. The suit was black, thick and waterproof. It consisted of a hooded jacket, mask and pants, gloves. Fire-resistant suits were issued to 500 OTB flamethrower tankers for running in combat conditions. Kolomiets M. in his article "The History of the KV tank" he pointed out: "Fire-resistant suits for crews have shown themselves on the positive side. The personnel using them gives positive feedback. The flame of a burning fire mixture in the tank is easily extinguished by a hand in a protective glove.
The tank flame retardant suit - the TOZ suit - has excellent protective properties.
Initially, the unique fabric, under the fire-resistant TOZ suit, was developed by a number of Soviet scientists from the institutes of industry and chemical protection.
To buy a TOZ suit, you need to carefully familiarize yourself with all its available characteristics: the trousers of the TOZ suit are easily adjustable at the waist, and this allows you to adjust it further to the required size. This type of workwear has a very dense fabric structure, it is it that provides excellent protection from contact with fire and when exposed to high temperatures. The suit does not get wet and is resistant to strong wind blowing.
TOZ fabric was developed in the 40s in the USSR, which was later used for a suit.
