fold-out 1941 Esso gas station road map of New Jersey, printed more
than
-
This map opens to 33" x 15¼" and has great detail on old highway
alignments and route numbers, with cartography by the General
Drafting Company. An inset of Atlantic City locates the Convention Hall
and Steel Pier.
- There's a pictorial guide on the reverse side, along with
inset
plans of Newark, Trenton, and the metropolitan areas of Philadelphia
and New York City.
- The cover photograph shows the statue of a Revolutionary
War dispatch
rider outside the First Presbyterian Church in Orange.
- The map was published by the Standard Oil Company of New
Jersey in 1941 and is dated on the cover.
- Condition: It is in very good condition, bright
and
clean, with a neat rubber-stamp imprint on the front panel from an Esso dealer
on Route 44 in Woodbury and no rips, tears, or writing. Be sure to
take a look at the scans and feel free to ask any questions.
