POLJOT DE LUXE - Ultra Slim Men's Soviet wrist watches, 23 jewels, Vintage 1970's with new leather strap as a gift
First Moscow Watch Factory (1st MWF im. KIROVA., 1st MChZ, Poljot) Founded in 1930 under orders from Stalin, the First Moscow Watch Factory was the first Soviet watch and mechanical movement manufacturer. The POLJOT (since 1961) name was awarded after Yuri Gagarin wore a Kirov First Moscow Watch Factory "Shturmanskie" (a transliteration of Штурманские which actually means "Navigator's") wristwatch during his historic first flight into space. The Factory was considered to be and it is now one of the best Russian manufacturers of watches. According to the agreement (reparations) after the WW2 Russia had got from Germany some equipment, tools, etc. Glashutte factories had lost almost all machinery. It was quite new equipment, so the Russians were able to produce modern movements of that time, using high class of finishing. The 1st Moscow Watch Factory started producing K-26 ("Pobeda") in 1946. The "Pobeda" movement is based on the well known for us "Lip" R26.
Offered here is a rare SOVIET wrist watches POLJOT DE LUXE. It was made in the middle of 1970’s at the Moscow Watch Factory (1MChZ). The watch is in a used, but fully working condition, recently serviced, cleaned and oiled. Nice gold color with gold helps dial is signed: POLJOT DE LUXE, 23 jewels, schokproof, Made in USSR.
The diameter of the gold-plated 20Mk case with/without crown is 37/35 mm, dial 33 mm, from lug to lug 42 mm, thickness 8 mm. Case is gilded with case back from stainless steel. Special done synthetic crystal glass for face of this unique wristwatch. Wristwatches keep correct time.
Movement has 23 ruby jewel's - high class. Manual winding movement. Vintage watch, this watch is discontinued! We are confident you will recognize the high value of this remarkable time piece, that we will forgo a reserve or high starting bid. Comes with new leather wristband as a gift.
