Handsome original 1872 steel engraving of an illustration by Granville Perkins titled "Delaware Water Gap."

  • This illustration includes a group of afternoon picnickers on the New Jersey side of the Delaware River.

  • There are three rowboats out on the water, and in the distance you can see the telegraph poles along the railroad bed on the Pennsylvania side.

  • The image area measures 14 x 21.6 cm [5½" x 8½2"] on a larger sheet with generous margins on all sides.

  • It was published in 1872 by D.
