railroads, canals, and natural features.
- Named places and features include Trenton, Jersey City,
Newark,
Richmond, Woodbridge, Plainfield, the Pennsyvlania Railroad, Newton,
Somerville, South Amboy, Lakewood, New Egypt, Mount Holly, Camden,
Atlantic City, Newark, May’s Landing, Millville, New Castle, Princeton,
Cape May, the Delaware, Lakawanna & Western Railroad, Summit,
Chatham, Madison, and Morristown.
- The image area measures 24 x 17 cm [9½" x 6¾"], and
longitude is measured from Greenwich and Washington.
- The map was compiled and engraved by W. & A.K.
Johnston and issued
in the 9th edition of the Encyclopædia Britannica,
published by Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, in 1884.
- Condition: It is in excellent condition,
bright
and clean, with no
rips, tears, or writing. It is blank on the back, with no printing
