This fine .950 silver French covered round box was made during the Belle Epoch by Paris silversmiths Page Freres (97 Rue Reaumur) who were in business from 1901 to 1905.  The lid is cast and chased with a border of neoclassical flowers and anthemia.  The center of the lid features another floral design surrounded by engine turned arcades.  The sides of the box are also decorated with undulating engine turning punctuated with tiny floral designs. Even the underside of the box features this gorgeous undulating engine turning   The box bears the French fineness mark for .950 silver.  The underside of the lid is centered with the mark of Page Freres as well as the engraved date September 7, 1985.  The box is 3" in diameter and is 1" tall.  It weighs 71.1 grams.  There are a few tiny dents in the sides of the box that I don't think are at all obtrusive.
