The legendary machine "Scorpion" elevated the racing buggy category to the level of pure motorsports both in name and reality.
It is a timeless classic that was introduced in 1982, and even now, more than 40 years later, there are fans all over the world.
Kyosho's pride has finally been revived!　
Respecting the basics of the original chassis, which was known at the time as a Baja buggy style for driving through the wilderness, we have remanufactured it without sacrificing its taste and innovation.
On top of that, it was upgraded to the 2014 specification for speed and durability that rivals modern buggy courses.
At first glance, the semi-trailing arm suspension looks like the original, but the suspension arm is made of high-grade forged 6061T6 aluminum.
It has strong rigidity, strength, and durability.
Furthermore, while following the original shape, a differential gear is installed inside the aluminum die-cast gearbox, which has been redesigned to a two-piece structure.
In addition, it is equipped with a slipper clutch, which protects the transmission and makes effective use of traction, taking the original's characteristic controllable maneuverability and durability to a new level.
The gears have also been refined to 48 pitches, thoroughly suppressing traction pulsation and achieving straightforward driving characteristics.
The chassis bottom has a flat surface finish with a countersunk finish. The screw head does not protrude, reducing contact resistance and abrasion with the road surface.
Run through the course with high durability. The oil damper combines a stainless steel shaft and an aluminum cylinder to operate smoothly from the beginning of the stroke to the bottom.
It will demonstrate driving performance befitting a racing buggy.
The packaging is in the same assembly kit format as the original, but has been redesigned to use almost no tapping screws or nuts.
Taps are cut on the part side, and most of the screws used are hex screws, achieving a tight assembly, light weight, and high rigidity.
