For sale a rebuilt BMW E21/02 LSD ZF "004" differential type 168 with 25% lock and 4.10 ratio.
Good condition lsd hub, has 45nm friction torque.
Bearings are good and pinion&crowngear backlash is right.
Teeth mesh was checked with engineers blue ink. No weird noises!
I strip, clean, inspect, paint, set pinion position, pinion bearing lash, side bearing lash, tooth mesh, tooth play, sperr pre-load. Everything is checked! I don’t sell scrap and noisy diffs.
I recommend new bearings especially on road cars. I have a very good price for bearings at 90€.
Friction shims are in good used condition. The lsd will work very well.

- 40%/15% locking - 4 friction shims and assimetrical 30º Accel/60º Decel ramp angles costs 100€. – For fastroad. This is very useful on wet road. 15% Decel makes it´s easier for less experienced drivers who have less throttle/steering control. Lets you brake later into the corners at the track without oversteer.
- 75%/75% locking - 8 friction shims and special 30º Accel/30º Decel ramps costs 350€. – Good for rally or drift with 75% lock on Decel, lets you balance the rear of the car easier. 8 shims gives better reliability. I can set with low pre-load so it makes corner insertion more easy and safe on wet/normal driving conditions.
- 75%/30% locking - 8 friction shims and assimetrical 30º Accel/60º Decel ramp angles cost 350€. – A must have for motorsport/fast track use(Nordschleife) 8 shims gives better reliability. This is very useful on wet road. Provides faster lap times on track, lets you brake harder and later into the corner without oversteer. A good setup for big engines with high torque such as the 323i E21 (tuned M10´s/M20 2.3/M30 engines).
For Motorsport use 8 friction shims recommended. Shims can overheat and melt. Also the shim tooth can break. 8 shims help dissipate the excessive heat and have double the inner tooth number(84 vs 42) giving better reliability.
