This one is based on a 1968 Stratocaster with a maple fingerboard neck! !
Adopts an alder body carefully selected for Fender Custom Shop products by our wood selection specialist staff. The pickguard is a 3-ply parchment guard with 11 points. Like the body, the neck material is carefully selected from plain maple with flatson grain. The radius of the round maple fingerboard is a slightly flat 9.5R, and the frets are medium-sized and narrow-tall. The body finish is weather checked without any sense of regularity, and there are some damage such as dents here and there. Urethane paint is used for the neck finish, and only the top of the head is lacquered. The top lacquer finish has a candy-colored finish and weather check, reproducing the deterioration that allows you to tell the difference in paint just like vintage.
The neck grip has a "1969 U" shape finish with a narrow nut width and excellent playability. Compared to the 60s Oval C, the grip is narrower and thicker in the low position, and thinner in the high position. A modern neck design with a rounded grip shape and little change in thickness from low to high positions.
The hardware includes a synchronized tremolo with a PAT.PEND. engraved saddle, and the machine head is equipped with a vintage F-key peg.
The custom shop's live sound, which is superior to any other Fender model with its bolt-on structure and clear live sound, has a different level of atmosphere and sound thickness when output from the amplifier. What's more, the resonance achieved by the relic finish is such that you can fully experience the vibration of the body and neck just by playing one chord. Its overwhelming live sound is so comfortable that you can play it for hours without having to output it from an amplifier, and it has a quality that can only be experienced at a custom shop.

The pickups that reproduce that wonderful sound are all hand-wound pickups. The impression is that the amplifier outputs an acoustic atmosphere with richer harmonics than a normal machine-wound one. Of course, the equipped model is equipped with three 69 single coils. When clean, it has a thick mid-range sound, but when driven, it outputs "that sound" with an edge in the high range. A sound that doesn't get too crushed even when distorted to the level of distortion.
The control uses vintage wiring for the pickup selector with a 5-way lever switch. The bridge pickup is tone-bypassed, so it produces a crisp sound that is typical of the large head era due to its looseness and sharpness when driven. The neck and middle pickups produce a warm to deep sound.
At first glance, the Deluxe Closet Classic finish looks like new. If you look closely, you can see the discoloration and dirt on the neck, and the weather check on the lacquer finish body. It has a moderately aged feel and a finish that is typical of the large head era, using urethane paint. Don't miss out on this one with the sound and looks typical of the Time Machine series! !
