Benefits Of Water Kefir

 
It’s a good idea to drink fermented beverages – they contain probiotics or good bacteria! The best part is that you can actually make these delicious beverages at home, we also believe that the most potent kefir is made at home - raw, fresh and full of beneficial bacteria.


INSTRUCTIONS


How to make water kefir:

 
Dissolve 1/3 cup of sugar and 1tbsp of molasses in filtered warm water in a clean 1L glass jar


- Cool it down

 
Add water kefir grains (50gr per 1L)
 
Place jar out of direct sunlight


- Cover jar with the tight lid
 
Let sit for 24 to 48 hours or to your taste. It should taste slightly sour
 
Strain the water kefir grains from the liquid
 
 
You can make a second fermentation by adding any fresh or dry fruits to provide flavour – ginger and lemon is always a great combo!

Cover and let sit on the counter for 24 hours.

Strain out flavourings, transfer the liquid to another jar and enjoy!
 Start over new batch straight away for an unlimited supply of delicious and nourishing water kefir loaded with probiotics or good bacteria!
 
 
CARE Never add the grains to hot water - it will kill them.  Best to avoid working with any metal equipment -use plastic and glass instead. 
While on holiday prepare new sugar/water solution and store the grains in the fridge. 
Please note, I will not recommend to store ready kefir in glass bottles because of possible explosion due to a very active bacteria, please use 1L jars instead
