Something to offend everyone in this work reflecting the attitudes and language of another era: diverting, provocative and entertaining whether you’re African, American, Asian, Jewish, Irish, something else entirely or merely a Brit — a sense of humour vital to enjoy this, offered as a well-read 90-year-old veteran first edition.

First edition published by Victor Gollancz, London, in 1935. Free from permanent inscription and markings to the text.

Although interior condition is overall acceptable, because this original letterpress book is old, it does display signs of use and age — such as the usual discolouration to old paper; binding is starting although currently sound — consistent with a printed object of this vintage. All 139 pp main text are complete and otherwise correct.
