This is a gorgeous, stunning antique dress from the 1920’s!

The top of it is 2 layers of the netting tulle with a puff sleeve. It has a sweet corded v-neck trimmed in 1 1/2” tulle ruffle.

There is a front lace inset that is made from tulle with really heavy lace.

The gold cording from the front goes around to back forming a darling little bow.

There is a very wide ruched gold silk cummerbund that forms a tie of sorts in the back.

Extending from the waist is a layer of the same tulle with the heavy lace which has a scalloped edge.

The under slip is asymmetrical gold silk skirt which forms a lovely shape on the right side. It appears that the hem of the silk on this side only has been cut or torn off. Out from under the left side is the tulle under skirt with millinery flowers. There is a 1” ruffle on the edge of the tulle under skirt . The ruffle is only around the left side around the back. I’m not sure if it was made that way or if part of the ruffle has been torn or cut off. See photos.

This dress is so unusually designed! It has a couple of issues as acknowledged and photographed but STILL quite a dress. See photos.

This would also be great as a students study, pattern making or repurposing the lace, silk and tulle.
