• In a very peaceful pose, a man stands near a stand of palms, on the bank above the water, with his son sitting at his feet.



• There's quote by John Milton, from Paradise Lost, Book IV, in the lower margin.

• Alexandre Bougault (1851-1911) was a French photographer active in North Africa, Tunisia, and Algeria in the late 19th century. This image of "The Palms" is an original, authentic antique print from one of his photographs, and it was published more than 110 years ago.
