A large-sized porcelain figure alluding to Nikolai Gogol's novel "The Night Before Christmas".  It depicts the characters of the story, Solokha and a deacon
Solokha is a witch. On the night before Christmas, she flies on her broomstick to collect stars from the sky into her sleeve. On her return, she turns into a plump Ukrainian beauty. Visitors start arriving at Solokha's place and she hides them all in bags of coal one by one. The next guest is Deacon Osip Nikiforovich. The reverend begins to flirt with the amiable hostess, but then there is a knock on the door...

It is a unique figurine. Aside from its size, it impresses by the expressions of its characters, including rich facial expressions, joy, and naturalness.

The figurine was made in the '80th by the Kyiv Factory of Experimental Ceramics. A minor repair of the Solokha's thumb was carried out.
