The South: The Black and White, and Other Problems Below the Mason and Dixon Line

Author: ANDERSON, Sherwood
Title: The South: The Black and White, and Other Problems Below the Mason and Dixon Line
Publication: N.p. [New York?]: [1926]
Edition: First Edition Thus

Description: Small, square quarto in wrappers; [8pp]. Fine, apparently unread copy.

A Sherwood Anderson rarity. This finely-printed keepsake on thick paper appears to be the only separate appearance of an article which first appeared in Vanity Fair for September, 1926. Later reprinted in Hello Towns (SHEEHY 333), but this printing not noted by the bibliographer. Issued without imprint, date, or publisher, but includes a brief introductory statement by Frank Crowninshield, editor of Vanity Fair. Presumably produced as a premium for Vanity Fair subscribers, or perhaps as a Christmas keepsake for the author's use. None others in commerce. OCLC gives 8 locations.
