A lovely piece that is made from black lacquered papier-mâché and inlaid mother of pearl. It features make figures perhaps immortals , butterflies and trees. It has a red seal on the back. There is also the remains of an ancient label. This is as I found it. That are some bits missing from edges and it slightly warped on a flat surface. However, it is still useable and functional and would be used for serving full meals.

It is a very decorative piece, and in very good condition for the period. There are some small losses and age related patina marks.
