AP180:

2 Introduction 

2.1 Description 

AP180 is a low bit rate speech vocoder chip , which is based on MELPe standard, supporting 2400bps encoding bit rate. 

AP180 has built-in FLASH and RAM and can do real-time speech encoding/decoding with single chip, no need for external storage, 

which make it very simple for user to design their systems. 

AP180 has an internal CODEC with built-in ADC, DAC, analog amplifiers and filters, 

no need for external CODEC. It can directly connect micphone and earphone(speaker) as a real single chip speech encoding/decoding solution. 

While, AP180 also has a standard PCM interface, through which it can connect external CODECs to meet some user’s requirement. 

AP180 connect to MCU with UART. User can read and write encoded speech data and configuration data using UART , 

which is asynchronous and full-duplex. AP180 packs in LQFP48 package and has a quite low power consumption.
