This is the pictured approximately 22  x 17 inch map of New York City in 1861 in the frame as shown.       It is the genuine map taken from an 1860s book of New York City government and related information.   As the pictures indicate, Manhattan is shown in two views and parts of Brooklyn and Jersey City as well.    My pictures show that the map is not in perfect condition but that it is a very attractive antique item -- whether displayed in a simple frame as included here or perhaps more elaborately framed for a buyer's particular style and interest.  (The map was folded in the book, of course, and my pictures show how there is some damage, which is why the map is kept in the inexpensive frame and will be shipped that way although many buyers might want to have it matted and/or use another frame.)   Regardless of the buyer's preference, this example of the 1861 original is offered at a bargain price compared to others also available.   International shipping will be folded without frame and at buyer risk carefully packaged.
