This listing is for a rough slab of Millefiori Glass, 100% natural. It can be used for lapidary to make cabochons or as a display specimen.
Millefiori, which translates to “thousand flowers”, is one of the oldest and most sought after techniques used in Murano glass making. By molding glass rods together into a bundle, the artisans create whimsical patterns resembling flowers. Once these glass “bundles” are heated, they can be stretched and manipulated into whatever unique shape the artisan desires. Just like a flower existing in nature, no two millefiori creations are exactly alike.
