I have tested these in the ham band down to 442mhz ; they seem just fine. The kenwood software has A warning and never stops the functioning In any way.

Buttons:

These have S for scan and A for adding a channel or taking it out of the scan group to be scanned. B is to jump straight ch1 then C is to jump straight to ch10

On the left side on top is backlight on/off. The ptt is below that. Then below that is the clock button. You can show the clock anytime. To set the clock. Turn off the radio. Then while holding down S turn on the radio. The display should show month and you use the channel knob on top to rotate through the options and hit a button to advance to day and year and hour and minutes. Then it is set the way you wish. I set them for current central time.

These are programed Using kpg-89d from kenwood or using free Chirp from dansplanet. Either way there is no way to front program most public service radios.

These are solid as a rock. They are not very old. These were used in a plant for a couple years. These are tested for function rx-tx and audio and then reprogrammed and tested and cleaned.
