KM-158, 2017 Israel 10 agorot; aluminum-bronze, plain edge; circulation coinage, the motif on the coin is described in Sheqel as follows - "Shown on the obverse of the 10 Agorot trade coin is a fragment from a coin, issued by Mattathias Antigonus (40 - 37 BC), depicting a Menorah (seven-armed candelabrum). The design of the 10 Agorot coin was the subject of a short-lived controversy in the late 1980s, when Palestine Liberation Organization chairman Yasser Arafat claimed that the obverse design of this coin incorporates a map of a "Greater Israel" that "goes from the Mediterranean to Mesopotamia, from the Red Sea to the Euphrates". This claim was quickly refuted by Israeli politicians and academics, who pointed out that the motif on the 10 Agorot coin - and all other Israeli coins - are selected for historical value only. This design was also adopted as the logo of the Bank of Israel, and appeared previously on the 100 'old' Sheqalim trade coin (KM-143).";
