This is a WWII 11th Airborne Division patch. It is new old stock and was never issued. The patch measures approximately 2-3/8 inches wide and 3-1/8 inches in height. It has a cut edge. There is no Airborne rocker/tab included in this sale.

   I have a few of these, so the one pictured is representative of what to expect. It may not be the exact one that you receive, but they are all in the same condition.

   The 11th Airborne Division was activated 25 February 1943. The Division was held in reserve in the United States.  At that time, it was deployed to the Pacific Theater. There it saw action in the Philippines. On 30 August 1945 the division was moved to southern Japan as an occupation force. It remained there for four years.

   One regement from the 11th Airborne Division was detached for participation in the Korean War. The division was inactivated on 30 June 1958.

   In mid 2022 the U. S. Army Alaska headquarters was redesignated as the 11th Airborne Division. The two Brigade Combat Teams in Alaska, which consisted of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, the 4th Brigade Combat Team and the 25th Infantry Division were transferred to the 11th Airborne Division and redesignated as the 1st and 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team or the 11th Airborne Division. The redesignation was also meant to focus on the Army's Artic strategy.

* If an item is returned to me because the address provided was not correct or if the buyer refuses a shipment or does not pick it up from the post office, the buyer will be responsible for paying shipping fees to have the package re-shipped to them.

* All items are shipped with a tracking number. This allows the buyer and seller to watch an item during transit and determine its status (Shipped, In Transit, Delivered).

* My shipping prices are actual quotes from the United States Postal Service for the item that you have purchased. I don't inflate my shipping prices to try and make an extra buck. Also, I do not charge a handling fee. All items are shipped by USPS Priority Mail or First Class Mail unless otherwise stated. I mail only to the address that is listed with PayPal to help prevent any fraud from occurring. I am sorry if this is an inconvenience, but I can not make any exceptions. I do combine shipping if you purchase multiple items on the same day or before I ship your package (which is usually within 24 hours after the auction closes or a purchase is made. *Please contact me prior to making any return. Items must be returned and received by me within 30 days of the original delivery date, or the sale is considered final. There will be no refunds after the initial 30-day period. The item must be in the same condition as when it was shipped by me and is subject to inspection prior to the issuance of a refund. Tools carry a specific manufacturers warranty, so you will have to deal directly with the manufacturer if there is an issue with their product not working properly.
