[Origin of Victor Mark]

- About nippers -

The original Victor Mark painting was created in 1889 by British artist Francis Barraud.

Francis' older brother Mark H. Balloud had a very intelligent fox terrier he called "Nipper," but when he passed away, Francis and his son adopted Nipper and raised him. When I played Nipper's older brother's voice on a gramophone that happened to be in the house, he listened intently in front of the trumpet and seemed to be listening to his master's nostalgic voice.

Francis was moved by the image of the nipper and immediately picked up his brush and painted a picture.

The phonograph at that time was a cylinder type that could record and play back, but it was later changed to a disk type.

And I titled it "His Master's Voice."

The cute sight of Nipper listening nostalgically to the voice of his late master impressed Berliner, the inventor of the disk-type phonograph.

He registered this masterpiece as a trademark in 1900. Since then, this venerable mark has been used as a symbol of the best technology and quality.

We are deeply trusted and loved by everyone.
