For sale is this incredibly rare Torah scroll fragment made from animal skin (vellum/leather). Fun fact… the Torah is regarded as a holy book by Christians, Jews, and Muslims (among others). This piece is estimated to be from the 1600-1800’s. It is in reasonable condition, but does have several small flaws too. The scroll would have once contained other pieces, but is now just a fragment of text. It is handwritten in Hebrew. Torah fragments like this are extremely rare, and are seldom seen available for sale, or outside of synagogs. Considering its age, it is very well preserved, and can be unfolded easily for reading. It will be shipped rolled up as it has been for hundreds of years. Please study the photos for a better indication of the condition. There are some folds, small tears, holes, rips, and other inconsistencies. Overall it is in good condition for the age, but is by no means perfect (this is an antique document). The age estimate is just an estimate (based off of lettering, vellum aging, provenance, style, materials, ink material, and other factors). Perfect complement to any collection! Don’t pass it up!
