Lightly Used Mitch RB75 Fat Boy .38 Special with a Fat Boy shell, this banjo is special.  This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

Mitch Meadors is a Pre War Banjo Enthusiast that has come up with various designs to replicate that tone.  He has teamed up with First Quality Banjo which is owned by the same guy responsible for 1000’s of Original Gibson Banjo necks amongst other Gibson Parts such as Tone Rings.  This banjo is absolute top, professional quality and absolutely captures so much of the Pre War Sound that so many banjo players love.

This has a Fat Boy Shell with a Mahogany Neck and Resonator.  The fretboard is rosewood and has a Flying Eagle inlay pattern.  Each side of the neck and resonator have white binding on each side.  The hardware is nickel and includes a One Piece Flange and a Mitch .38 Special No Hole Tone Ring.  That no hole tone ring is also a significant factor in the volume this banjo has.

This is set up and ready to go.  This also includes a nice hardshell case which is new.  It appears to be a Deering Hardshell Case and I guess Mitch scratched out the Deering and added Mitch Banjos.  We will call this a Mitch Banjo Conversion Case.

Condition and Set Up

This is in fantastic shape.

The banjo has a new Remo frosted head which is set to 90. This has a Gary Sosebee Bridge and new strings.  The banjo is set up with good string height, this definitely is a fantastic player and also has proper intonation.  This is also fully adjustable.

I can never keep these Fat Boy Mitch Banjos in stock long.  This is a phenomenal instrument and this is ready to turn heads at your next bluegrass jam.
