Up for sale is this NOS (New Old Stock) Sunday Bikes Model D frame in the Black Magic Coating. This frame in this finish is extremely rare as they never offered this finish in their production runs, but rather offered it for a very limited time for orders to be placed. So limited that your bike shop had to place the order directly with Sunday as they couldn’t use their regular distributors for these frame orders.
This frame was apparently raffled off from a bike shop at a bike function. As this is what I was told when I purchased it from the person who won the raffle and they never built it so it’s still a new never built frame. If I remember correctly this frame came out of the Pennsylvania area.
I’ve been unable to reach Sunday Bikes to get the actual number of these Black Magic Model D frames that were produced. Between the extremely limited production of these Black Magic Model D’s and the fact that this one is still new and has never been built, makes this one probably more rare than Hens Teeth or Unicorns.
The Model D was a frame that Sunday Bikes made for a very short time. A year or two at most I believe. It was only offered in a Silver finish and a Gloss Army Green finish. This frame was designed specifically for riding trails and dirt jumps. Sunday made this frame for a dirt trail jump rider they signed on to endorse the brand back in 2009 I believe.
I’ve had this frame for well over 10 years now and it’s time it go to a good home where it will get built or appreciated as it’s just been sitting in my storage unit in the box it was shipped to me in. It’s NOT the original factory box but rather the box that it was shipped to me when I purchased it.

There is no major damage or dents in the frame. See pics. In the days when limited edition doesn’t really mean much, these Model D‘s are actually very limited. So limited that we can’t even go through our distributors for this. These look too good in Black Magic to last very long in shops. So, if you want one I would have your shop call Sunday and place an order for one. Model D’s are available in 20.75 and 21.

We didn’t attach the trail name so we could disguise a light weight frame. We designed the frame around
specific users. This is for trails where a Second Wave would be for street. Simple!
