"DEVOTION"
/// by author Adam Makos \\\

Valor Studios is excited to offer the movie tie-in paperback of Devotion with an autographed bookplate signed by Medal of Honor awardee, Thomas Hudner, Jr., and by our founder, author Adam Makos! (We also have an autographed 1st Edition hardcover for sale in our Ebay store.)

Our family (Valor Studios is owned and operated by the Makos Family) have been fortunate enough to work with some of America's greatest military heroes over the past 20 years. Tom Hudner was one of them.

We sponsored his return trip to North Korea in 2013, and Adam and Bryan Makos brought the Devotion book out in 2015. They worked tirelessly to bring Devotion to theaters, even introducing actor Glen Powell to Tom Hudner in the hopes of accelerating a film before he passed away in 2017.

We are beyond excited to see Tom and Jesse immortalized on screen and hope Devotion brings more attention to the heroes of the Forgotten War. To learn more about Valor check out the "Why Valor Studios" section below.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

Devotion tells the inspirational story of the U.S. Navy's most famous aviator duo, Lieutenant Tom Hudner and Ensign Jesse Brown, and the Marines they fought to defend.

A white New Englander from the country-club scene, Tom passed up Harvard to fly fighters for his country. An African American sharecropper's son from Mississippi, Jesse became the navy's first black carrier pilot.

Devotion takes us soaring overhead with Tom and Jesse, and into the foxholes with the Marines as they battle a North Korean invasion.

As the fury of the fighting escalates and the Marines are cornered at the Chosin Reservoir, Tom and Jesse fly, guns blazing, to try and save them.

When one of the duo is shot down behind enemy lines and pinned in his burning plane, the other faces an unthinkable choice: watch his friend die or attempt history's most audacious one-man rescue mission.

A tug-at-the-heartstrings tale of bravery and selflessness, Devotion asks: How far would you go to save a friend?

ABOUT THE VETERAN SIGNER:

CAPTAIN TOM HUDNER (MEDAL OF HONOR): (contains movie and book spoilers!)

A graduate of the Naval Academy, Tom flew combat missions with VF-32 in the fall of 1950. Despite being previously warned to avoid any "Hollywood rescue heroics," Tom crash-landed his F4U to try and save his wingman, Jesse Brown, just one day after the moment shown in our art print "Off to the Chosin" (also for sale in our Ebay store signed by Tom and his fellow pilots). For his actions, he was awarded the Medal of Honor in 1951. In 2013, Tom returned to North Korea on a mission to find Jesse's remains. While he was unable to visit the Chosin Reservoir area, his visit impressed Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who ordered his military to "find Jesse Brown." Tom passed away in 2017.

WHY CHOOSE VALOR STUDIOS?

EXPERIENCE /// Since 1999 we've been creating the world's finest hand-autographed military art and collectibles. We are the only art publisher to conduct signings with Major Dick Winters and Captain Ron Speirs, and we've had the honor of working with former Presidents Bush '41 and Bush '43, General Hal Moore (We Were Soldiers), aviators Charlie Brown and Franz Stigler (A Higher Call), MOH recipient Tom Hudner (Devotion), and many more military heroes.

THE REAL DEAL /// Unlike so many autographs we see on EBay, ours are hand-signed and we have the photos to prove it. Combine that with a reputation of being America's leader in military art publishing and you can shop with complete peace of mind.

HONESTY /// Our veteran signers know the items they are autographing are for commercial purposes and they're paid generously for their efforts. We're proud to say that some of our veteran friends have been signing with us for 15+ years!

QUALITY /// All the products we sell on Ebay are new and guaranteed in mint condition. They are printed on museum grade papers with archival inks and with proper care (utilizing archival-grade storage methods) will last longer than any of us.

VALUE /// All our veteran signed items are limited in number. Once they sell out there is no creating more and as a result we often see our products appreciate in value.

FAMILY /// We're a small family business based in Naples, Florida, we have New York Times bestselling author Adam Makos ("A Higher Call," "Devotion," and "Spearhead") as our company president, his brother Bryan is our art director, and their sister Erica, our sales manager.

MADE HERE /// Our fine art lithos, giclees, photos and books are all printed in America. By buying a Valor Studios product, you're not only supporting an American small business and our veteran signers, but also craftsmen across the country.
