GORGEOUS! Antique 8" Cut & Engraved Crystal Basket
Likely a fine example of American Brilliant Crystal art!

This intricate basket can be the centerpiece of your collection! Featuring a deep vining motif with engraved clover and flowers, this hand-cut crystal basket is a unique addition to any crystal collection! This basket was likely made in the late 1800s in what was a cut glass renaissance in America. While this piece is not signed, the engraved clovers bear distinct similarity to signed pieces made by Libbey glass of Toledo, Ohio.

This piece is likely early American Brilliant, and is certainly antique. The piece glows faintly green under black light.. It is quality hand-cut glass with perfect cuts and highly detailed etchings. This is an exceptional piece that will enhance any collection or tabletop!

Condition:

 This piece is in VERY GOOD + condition! There are some fleabites and nicks to the base edge, lip of basket edge, and the underside of the handle. These nicks do not greatly affect the display of the piece and are usual for antique crystal. This piece is free of major damage such as cracking and shows no repairs! The basket handle shows no stress points where it is attached to the bowl. This unique piece would be an exceptional example to add to your crystal display!
